Happy Labor Day! If you’re lucky enough to get this day off from work, enjoy it! I have to work but I didn’t have school so I am not complaining! On January 1st, I started reading my bible every day so I can complete it in a year. So today kicks off the last month I’ll be doing the Old Testament. This is a big accomplishment for me. I’m so glad I didn’t give up when the readings got too heavy because this has just been such a great experience. It put me on a great schedule and I’ve just really been learning more and more about our God. I encourage everyone to try this at least once.
September also kicks off our fall TV shows! Maybe your favorite summer series are winding down or already over but there’s so many good shows to look forward to in the fall! I’m your typical girl and love Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. And if you’re a fall fanatic like me… the first official day is September 23rd! There’s so much to look forward to this month. And how about you football lovers? I bet every single one of you can find something positive about this month. So I challenge you to give yourself a list of five things you’re excited about this month. Writing a positive list helps you see the positive in our life, rather than the negative.
Here’s mine:
1. New worship service for 20 something’s starts at church
2. Fall Starts
3. TV shows are coming back
4. Pumpkin everything… Especially pumpkin pancakes
5. Finishing all of the Old Testament
And it’s also Monday! Thank you Emily for taking over last week. I was getting acclimated to my school schedule. Six classes. It’s quite busy. This week we’re going to have a little One Republic. By the way, these guys are amazing in concert! The song this week is “I Lived”. It is such an upbeat song and motivating. So listen to this song today and get rid of the Monday Blues and enjoy your week! ~Stephanie

I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived”
